Artemis Women in Action Film Festival Qualifiers
Submit all narrative, animated, documentary films and scripts featuring women
either starring or co-starring as a physical action character or agent of social change.
We celebrate women in kick ass roles.
Films - 40 minutes or longer. Shorts - up to 40 minutes. Screenplays, 100 - 140 pages.

and Withoutabox. Student submissions are only processed directly
through our website.
Submit films or screenplays directly to Artemis Women in Action Film Festival right here. We accept DVD's, media files on flash or DVD, and online screeners for preselection. For online screening, please provide the URL with secure streaming. We accept digital script submissions (.pdf or .doc) by email. Have a discount code? Use it when you submit direct!

Canadian born Film Freeway is a digital festival submission platform. It's a low cost (fees are added to festival submission fee), secure online digital submission forum, lists over 4000 festivals, and leverages digital tech to the fullest by hosting full HD online screeners as well as digital screenplay submissions.
Prizes & Awards
We will present Artemis Awards for Audience Choice, Best Film, Best Director, Best Documentary, Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Fight Scene, Best Action Sequence, Best Screenplay, as well as others.
Top three winners of the Screenplay Competition will receive an InkTip Script Listing: A listing of your script on InkTip so that producers and reps can find you. Producers have made more than 200 films from scripts and writers they found through InkTip.
Submission Type Examples
Narrative films, please submit any genre featuring women in action or taking action. Examples: Terminator 2: Sci-Fi/Action; Aliens: Horror/Action; The Heat: Comedy/Action; and Suffragettes: Drama
For animated films, any film featuring women in action or taking action. Examples: Frozen, Brave, Tangled, and The Croods.
Documentary films are open to any stories about women in the armed forces, public service (police force, fire fighters, paramedics, etc.), pro and non-pro sports, political and social activism; basically any story that celebrates women in action or depicts heroic acts.
For screenplays, any genre of feature, TV show or pilot featuring women in action or taking action. Examples: Terminator 2: Sci-Fi/Action; Aliens: Horror/Action; The Heat: Comedy/Action; and Suffragettes: Drama.
